1st: Hilario Mendivil Museum
Honors the outstanding Peruvian sculptor. It presents his distinctive work of polychrome wood sculptures, inspired by Andean culture and Peruvian folklore. His creations are known for their meticulous detail and unique expressiveness, capturing the essence of Cusco popular art.
2nd: Luis Aguayo Workshop
The master, dedicated to carving wooden frames in the Cusqueña School tradition, celebrates Cusco’s colonial and indigenous heritage. His frames, with religious and floral motifs and intricate geometric patterns, reflect Baroque and Andean influences.
Each piece enhances Cusqueña School paintings, bringing religious scenes to life with unique depth and splendor, preserving an essential artistic tradition of Cusco’s cultural identity
3rd: Abode of the Gods
An impressive sculptural ensemble in the heights of Cusco. It combines nature’s majesty with human creativity, featuring giant sculptures of Andean deities carved into rocks. Each piece reflects the rich Incan worldview, honoring gods like Pachamama and Wiracocha.
The intricate details and mystical surroundings provide visitors with an experience of art and spirituality, deeply connecting them with the region’s ancestral culture.
4th: Workshop House «Alma»
Finally, we participated in a painting workshop on the iconic Toritos de Pucará (paint your own souvenir), a very representative element of Andean culture.
They are symbols of protection and prosperity in Andean homes and also represent the craftsmanship and tradition of the mountain villages.
